INTRODUCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sudarshana Chakra<\/strong> is a divine weapon of\nLord Vishnu<\/a>.\nThe Sudarshana Chakra is used for destroying the enemies and to maintain peace\nand prosperity in the universe. The SudarshanaChakra is worshipped as ChakkrathAzhwar. He is considered as\nan incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and contains the features of Lord Vishnu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The details about SudarshanaChakra,is mentioned in the\u00a0Rigveda<\/a>\u00a0as well as in ancient sacred scripts and in Puranas<\/a>.\u00a0Once, Lord Krishna<\/a> used this weaponfor killing\u00a0Shishupala<\/a>\u00a0during the dwaparkayuga. Lord Vishnu also killed several demons using this Sudarshana Chakra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the ancient Puranas, the Sudarshana\nChakra was made by the divine architect, Sri Vishvakarma<\/a>. Also, in the Mahabharata<\/a>, Lord Krishna invoked the sacred Chakra on Sisupala<\/a> in order to kill him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once, Lord Vishnu grants Sudarshana Chakra to\nKing Ambarisha<\/a>, in order to maintainpeace and prosperity to\nhis kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ChakkrathAzhwar shrines are found inside Vishnu’s\ntemples, and there are only few temples dedicated to Lord ChakkrathAzhwar alone.\nThey are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Sri SudarshanaSwamyTemple, Nagamangala<\/a><\/li>
  2. Chakrapani Temple, Kumbakonam<\/a> <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    This homam<\/a> is performed for getting better prospects in\nour life, to get relieved from various diseases, for mental satisfaction and\nfor getting rid from enemy related problems, black magic problems etc. By doing\nthis homam, we can experience a good change in our life immediately.It will\nbring good fortunes in our life and build up a strong career path for us, and\nmake us to live happily and peacefully in our life.     Sudarshana is an aspect of Lord Vishnu, and by worshipping him, we will get the same results similar to worshipping Lord Vishnu, since both of them are considered as one and the same. In most of the Vishnu temples, Sudarshana Shrine will be there in the backside of the Narasimha shrine. By worshipping him in the Vishnu temples, our body and soul will be purified, our past sins will be wiped out,\u00a0and we will get fresh energy in our mind and body, and can live a blessed life. He will follow us in our every step and will act as our guide. Being the divine weapon of Lord Vishnu, he will kill our bad thoughts, and remove the evil from our body and makes us holy and perfect in our life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
