She is mentioned in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mahabharata\">Mahabharata<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bhagavata_Purana\">BhagavataPurana<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revati was the only daughter of King\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kakudmi\">Kakudmi<\/a>, a ruler of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/w\/index.php?title=Kusasthali&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1\">Kusasthali<\/a> kingdom. In order to find a proper match for his daughter, Kakudmi took Revati with him to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Brahmaloka\">Brahmaloka<\/a> to seek Lord Brahma\u2019s advice for finding a suitable husband for Revati.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When they arrived at the brahma\u2019s abode, Brahma\nwas watching the performance of the celestial musicians, and hence they waited\npatiently until the performance was finished.
